Covid-19 Refunds

National Lockdowns If a national lockdown coincides with the dates of your stay where you are unable to travel and/or we are prevented from opening you will receive a full refund

Regional/Local Lockdown In the event that the address given by you at the time of booking is put into local/regional lockdown (Tier restrictions) where you are unable to travel or the property is placed into a tier where it would be required to close, you will receive a full refund. Please note that the refund applies only to a restriction being placed on the lead address given on the booking form.

The refund covers lockdowns and Tier restrictions, but does NOT cover you (or members of your party) for being unable to travel because you (or a member of your party) fall ill with Covid, or are required to quarantine or self-isolate. These events can be covered by you taking out travel insurance.

There are a number of policies that include cover for illness with Covid and self-isolation or you can look for suitable cover on comparison sites such as www.gocompare.com.

We are not selling, promoting, endorsing or recommending any particular product, and do not benefit financially from, nor have any formal relationship with any of these providers.

Risk Assessment

In line with the guidelines provided by the trade association PASC UK we have conducted a detailed Risk Assessment to ensure the safety of our guests and staff. Our risk assessments and cleaning protocols have been approved by the AA and Visit England. We will continually review our Risk Assessment to take into account any changes in guidelines or legislation. Our Risk Assessment is available on request.

Cleaning Protocols

It is important to us that we provide you with a safe enviroment. We are adopting all recommended protocols that detail new cleaning and safety measures to ensure the safety of our guests and team.

Where appropriate we are using hospital grade Virucidal disinfectants that comply with EN 14675.

We now double clean, our usual high level of cleaning and then disinfecting with a viricidal sanitiser. In addition to the recommended guidelines we have also invested in a fogging machine which will enable us to sanitise the whole bathroom including walls, towel rails etc. It is also effective with soft furnishings for example curtains. The fogging machine will be used in every room. All cleaning products used are officially approved as effective for covid 19. Once a room has been cleaned and sanitised the door will be closed and not be re-entered before your arrival. Particular attention will be paid to all the high touch areas for example light switches, taps and door handles.

We will rewash crockery, cutlery and glasses between guests, and all kitchen equipment will be sanitised.

Some non-essential soft furnishings are removed for the time-being for example bed runners and cushions. All our linen and towels are professionally laundered and pressed and returned to us in protective wrapping.

Pillows and duvets are rotated being stored for 7 days before being used again.

There is a wall mounted hand sanitiser station just inside the entrance door for your use. We will provide hand sanitiser and antibacterial surface cleaner for your use.

Outside games and furniture are sanitised between guests.

The toys for small children have been removed for the time being.

The housekeeping team wear appropriate PPE and follow our strict cleaning checklist and protocol.

Your arrival

All the extra steps required for the thorough cleaning and sanitisation of the house take more time and therefore we ask that you do not arrive before 5.00pm. You will not be given access to the house before 5pm unless a special arrangement has been agreed in writing in advance. All the cleaning we undertake takes us extra time and we ask for your help in not arriving early.

We do like to personally welcome all of our guests which we will do outside respecting social distancing. We can then answer any questions you may have. If you need anything during your stay we are just a phone call away.

Your departure

Please leave by 10am prompt, we need every minute for cleaning.

We are asking guests for their co-operation with a few recommended protocols for the safety of staff and us.:

Stripping Beds – We hate to ask this of you on the last day of your stay but it is recommended that we should ask guests to strip the beds. We would be very grateful if you could pack the bed linen and towels in the clean linen bags provided.

Open Windows - if possible (weather dependant) please open the windows in each room before you leave.

Dishwasher - please set it going before you leave, we would be very grateful if you can fill it up, if the cycle has finished please do not empty it. We are required to wash everything between guests and if you have emptied the dishwasher the items will have to be washed again.

Please empty all bins - including bathroom bins and place in the outside dump bin. Take your own food items home at the end of your stay.

It is imperative that you or any member of your party do not travel if showing symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone suffering from COVID-19 within 14 days of arrival.

If you or a member of your party develop symptoms of COVID-19 during your stay or within 14 days of your return home you must inform us immediately.

We sincerely hope that you will have a happy holiday. However if you or a member of your party test positive or develop symptoms of covid-19 during your stay you should stay indoors and self-isolate. Immediately book a test through the NHS www.nhs.uk/coronavirus using your holiday address or, if you can't get online, by phoning 119. If your test is positive you must inform us. If you are well enough to travel you should return home and self-isolate in accordance with current Government guidance. If you are unwell and cannot return home, you will be expected to pay all costs for extending your stay. We recommend you take out travel insurance.
